Get Involved
The Kapa Haka community are looking for people to join our committee. We have drafted some ambitious goals for the group over the next year and we want you to be part of it. What we are after is people to:
- Make sure we are on the right track i.e. Aligned to our goals
- Provide your expertise (what ever that may be), and
- Make it happen
There are no pre-requisites to being part of this committee. You don't have to be Maori to join this group! In fact it would be great to have non-Maori involved to again tie in with our community. Our focus is on cultural awareness for the learners and our community. If you can see benefit in that for our community then we want you!
We are well aware and proud of the strength of our Kapa Haka community. We are truly a culturally rich group. This was made obvious by our Marae Noho and the continual support shown last year. This was a wonderful showcase of our community working together. We are very proud to wave the flag for both our school and our community.
We are planning on a meeting at 6pm on Sunday the 24th of May. We invite those who share our passion to come with us to one of our members homes Will and Diana Harrison 7 Ganley Tce, Stonefields. We will hope to have representatives from the school join us. We would love to see you there!

Kia ora e te whanau , Arohamai.
ReplyDeleteSunday is my only day where my whanau and I got to church together. It's our family day. So unfortunately I will not be able to make it to the meeting, but I am more than happy to work where the help is needed.
Thanks Annitta. I absolutely appreciate your situation. Thank you for the heads up.
