Welcome back to Term 2
Welcome back everyone from your term one holidays. Hope you all managed to relax and have lots of fun, in between practising for our upcoming Kapa Haka concert. :)
I would just like to start off by saying a huge thank you to the parents / caregivers who were able to give up some of their time to help us raise money doing a sausage sizzle at Mitre 10. We raised a massive $705. So thank you, you are all amazing and we really appreciate your participation.
Speaking of amazing, this term we are wanting to showcase our AWESOME learners and all the hard work they have put in over the last term. We are going to be putting on a concert in mid June to celebrate Mataariki, the Maori new year. In order for us to put on this concert we are going to need to practise a wee bit more to perfect some of our new songs that we have been learning. We are hoping that your child will be able to participate in some extra practise in the weekends. The first weekend practise will be held on Sunday 3rd May, from 10am - 4pm at school. They will need to bring a packed lunch, a snack and be ready for a day of fun and learning. We are hoping that all our Kapa Haka learners will be able to attend.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask anyone of us, Chris, Rongomai, Jipsy, Bryan, Annitta or Dee.
Enjoy your long weekend.
