Kapa Haka cancelled for tomorrow.

Due to the Haka Powhiri taking place tomorrow morning, it has been decided to cancel our normal practice. It will resume next week which will be our last one for this term.

In regards to the Powhiri, here is the email that was sent out today.

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Firstly, thanks so much for your patience and understanding around the postponement of our trip. Our learners have been so determined when learning the waiata and are sounding amazing. They are really looking forward to the experience so we are very glad that the Malama Honua Worldwide Voyagers were able to make tomorrow work for them.

To make things easier, we will continue tomorrow exactly the same as today - senior learners need to be at school at 8am so that we can be prompt at the haka powhiri. Our junior learners won't need to be at school till 8:30 at the latest. We won't be having our normal Kapa Haka practice but will still meet in Hub 1 to practice for the powhiri before the bus arrives at 9am.

Learners will take their bags with drink bottles, morning tea, hats and rain gear (weather depending). We will ride on the bus (Jnr's only) to the Pt England Reserve, take part in the powhiri and then return to school.

Thanks to those parents who have already volunteered to come along with us, we really appreciate it.

Here’s hoping for a fantastic, sunny day tomorrow!

Kind regards,

Dee
