Te Whakapainga o ō tātou Tohu Reorua - The Blessing of our Bilingual Signage

Tēnā koutou e te whānau whānui o te Kura o Stonefields,
arā, ko ngā mema o te Poari, ko ngā kaiako me ngā
kaimahi hoki, tae noa mai ki ngā whānau o ā tātou tamariki
mokopuna, tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou katoa.

He karanga tēnei ki a koutou katoa kia nau mai, haere mai
ki te whakapainga o ō tātou nei tohu hou, tohu reorua, ka
whakapainga e tō tātou kaumātua a Matua Tautoko, kei te
kiia nei ko 'Papa Big' rānei, ā te tekau mā rua o
Āperira / Poutūterangi ā te waru karaka i te ata (hei mua tonu
i te whakawai kapa haka me ngā whakaritenga mō te haere
ki Te Oro).

Nau mai, haere mai, whakatau mai rā...


To all members of our Stonefields School community,
members of the Board, staff and families.

You are warmly invited to attend the blessing of our new
bilingual signage (Māori and English) by our wonderful
kaumātua Matua Tautoko Witika, otherwise known as
'Papa Big' on Wednesday the 12th of April at 8am.

The blessing is immediately prior to our kapa haka practice and
preparations for the childrens' performance at the Manaiakalani
Environmental Festival at Te Oro.

(tētahi kaiako ki Te Puna Wānanga ki Te Whare Wānanga
o Tāmaki Makaurau, he uri hoki nō Te Whānau-a- Apanui),
ko Laith Yalda hoki nō te kamupene o Spot Signz, tae noa
mai ki tō tātou kaumātua, mauri ora ki a koutou katoa!


Many thanks to all the wonderful people who have helped

the whānau Māori, Whaea Katarina Edmonds (lecturer at
Te Puna Wānanga at the University of Auckland and
descendant of Te Whānau-a- Apanui) and last but not least
